In October 2005 both Moritz Reichelt - painter, designer and member of Der Plan - and Frank Fenstermacher - Der Plan, A Certain Frank, Atatak label - celebrated their 50th birthday. Long time fan, collector and WM Recordings artist Werner Popp invited various friends and colleagues of Moritz and Frank to contribute a track for a special birthday compilation. This little piece of German pop history is now exclusively available from WM Recordings.

According to the Britannica Concise Encyclopedia "modern numerology attaches a series of digits to an inquirer's name and uses these, along with the date of birth, to reveal the person's true nature and prospects (using a method analogous to that of the Greek and Hebrew alphabets in which each letter also represented a number)." It also says that "numerology is based on the assertion by Pythagoras that all things can be expressed in numerical terms, because they are ultimately...

The best of Bob Chaos Recordings 1984-1986. Bob Chaos Records was a cassette-only label out of Muncie, Indiana USA. Between the years 1984-1988 a whopping 15 cassettes were released. With music spanning experimental to rock to just plain strange, "Bob" was way ahead of it's time... or at least in the wrong place at the right time. Instead of letting the tapes deteriorate in a mid-western closet, www.bobchaos.com came out to give the world's weirdos more stuff to listen to. After a...

Another album filled with groovy elftunes. Again we can enjoy Happy Elf's analogue synthesizers, drumcomputer, guitars, bassguitars, vocals and samples. O.K. sometimes you believe this album was made in the eighties of last century, but what the heck.... those were (unlike the present) the days of musical voyages of discovery. There's even a song on this album dedicated to the site MYSPACE.COM on which HAPPY ELF found many friends. The song is called MY MY SPACE. Each track on this album has...

Gorowski has made us wait ('I needed to make a few tweaks'), but finally we get to hear his new promo album, 'I Don't Believe You'. This soundtrack provides a fusion of electronic messing about with fresh slices from the discotech. Leftfield emotion, a touch of melancholy, and damn right summer-inducing tuneage make for a sprawling, yet fulfilling excursion into non-conformism. While the 'Ancient Rollers' and 'Space Bandidos ('06 version)' take us to the edge of the pier, 'Barneveld' (a tribute...

Stefan's been writing them since age 10 and has released them on various privately produced CDs. In 2002 he formed his own band, The Subhuman & The Holy Ghosts, to perform his songs with him, but Knowing is half the battle is 100% pure Stefan. When he was about twenty he played around with a Korg MS20 and began to write songs. Except for some lo-fi tapes made at home, nothing else happened. When he was 35 René learned the basic chords on guitar, bought a second hand Yamaha QY20 and more songs were made. Still mostly unheard by others. Then he bought a pc and went on the Internet. Well, I was born in Orleans (the old one) in 1971, learned guitar at 15 but never was a hard worker, smoked at 17 and re-discovered the Beatles, Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix with my first psychedelic group: Wired. After we split, I made my own album where I could do whatever I want. This was Noises In My Head, recorded more than ten years ago. After two more bands were set up and split, I turned to the technical side of the music but I strongly think about making a second one.

Happy Elf is the name of multi instrumentalist Jeroen Elfferich's soloproject. He has released 8 albums since 1999. The music of Happy Elf can be labeled as electro, but actually it is much more than that: itÂs pop music made with analogue synthesizers. First Contact is a 4 track cd which gives you an idea of Happy ElfÂs music. The tracks are from the earlier albums Bright Normal Deep and Bingo in the Country. Summer had passed when poet Ruud Linssen and three musicians came together to see what they could do. In winter the quartet released their first album of music and poetry under the flag of Mellsch. These recordings were made at guitarist Marcel Jansen's retreat, an ancient farmhouse in the windswept marshlands of Waldfeucht on the German-Dutch border. There the work of Mellsch emerged over a long autumn weekend. Centuries-old shingles on the farmhouse roof rattled as Jansen, Linssen, Bego...

Nambavan lives in the Russian republic of Tatarstan. He began composing music on his first pc in 2000, got expelled from guitar lessons for not remembering the songs a few years later. Nowadays he works with his pc, a $80 guitar and a Casio keyboard. His musical diet consists of Blondie, the Sex Pistols, Cerrone, Sonic Youth, Jimi Hendrix, Iggy Pop, The Doors, Giorgio Moroder, Donna Summer, Madonna, Supermax, and the Bee Gees. This 4-track ep is the result.

Terry Douglas composes extensively for electronic media, orchestra, chamber ensembles, solo instruments, and rockin' teen-age combos. His music investigates the fundamental elements of musical communication through new timbral, formal, and technological relationships. His recorded output is the culmination of a compressed yet wide-ranging exploration of the man and his work which began, simply enough, as a search for an understanding of Helmholtzian thermodynamics. It has since evolved instead...

Greg Houwer is a singer-songwriter whose style is firmly rooted in the pop/rock-tradition. He works with loving care from his home studio, where he assembles his songs, hovering somewhere between a state of peaceful tranquility and full blown exuberance. Roads Of Oblivion, a compilation of twelve songs recorded between 2002 and 2007, is a case in point expressing just that range of creativity.

The name Klaz* is derived from the name of Bijkian cosmonaut Kowax Laz. He was the first Bijkian to make far exploratory expeditions into space and he received all military honours which a person can get, because of his pioneering work with the Bijkian army. We feel like musical pioneers. With our music we not only want to appeal to the Bijkians on Bijk, but also to Bijkians on earth and to your people (who we want to introduce to Bijk with our music). We try to be different from other Bijkian...

Chenard Walcker, a friend of the online music world, is slowly recovering from a diabetic coma. His brother reports that he is not physically suffering. He fell into the coma in September 2006, and is now working on speech development and object differentiation. So many of us have benefited from and enjoy Chenard's work. This is our chance to repay our sweet friend and to send him our love with a tribute release on WM Recordings.

Datapanik is a music project of 3 people living in a shared student house in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. All songs are recorded with the use of inexpensive homerecording equipment. Most of the songs are live recordings and are written 'on-the-fly' without any rehearsals or preparations. The essence of Datapanik was having fun in making music in general. Enjoy listening to Unknown Questions.

The music found on this here album is the kind of music one would like to hear if one was inclined to hearing sounds put together and taken apart using notes, noises, melodies, harmonies, rhythms, and all the opposing forces as well. If you like music, you'll love the music here.

Take your seat and have another journey into the weird accoustic world of Zloty Dawai. Is it Free Jazz? Is it Noise? The Zloties don’t give a damn. The five guys from Cologne just recorded this one in 4 different takes directly on CD. Totally improvised - no overdubs – no censorship.

'Play' is the first in a series of releases by Lee Rosevere that focus on his experimental, ambient and imaginary soundtrack works. Some of these recordings have been played on internet radio in the past, but many of these recordings are being released for the first time, combining tracks recorded over 10 years ago with brand new compositions.

Imagine being holed up in a strange bleak industrial estate on the edge of what appears to be an eerily deserted town where bars shine desolate, their signs promising “music here tonight” without any sense of irony. This is where Montague started, sketching lyrics on digital photographs in late November when the mall closed and the entertainment retreated quickly to their homes. The fact they rarely shut the curtains or indeed their doors only served to inspire more...

The production of the JOEY BURNS EP and the forthcoming album took place with the support of Music Producer Hannes Jackl from AMPERSAND and features musicians and singers from the bands SCHMACKES UND PINSCHER, MOUTH, LUNATIC SKYDANCE and THE LO-FI FAIR. The release of the completely new album THE JUDAS HOLE (including 10 brand-new tracks) will follow later in 2011. Squeezing one out is as easy as one may think. You simply squeeze. The question remains, what exactly is being squeezed and out of what? The answer may very well lie somewhere on the second Rabbits album "Squeeze One Out".

5 cologne-based improv-musicians try to do the impossible: to let go ..! To forget about their 60s to 90s influences as independent music-addicts as they were and try to do their sound. Someone said "Modern Free-Jazz". Someone said "Soundtrack-Scores". Fact is: It`s totally improvised, uncensored, no overdubs. It's done directly on CD. So go ahead and just blow your cool!

A Simple Process is a collection of 6 compositions, each of which is based around a simple melodic fragment. These fragments are then altered by various processes (i.e. adding notes, transposing, shifting the beat placement). The compositions end when the process has run its course.

When the project NORWAY started in the city of Porvoo in the early 90's Rumpan Löök & Kukkiva Kunnas had used the Octamed - a popular sound tracker for the Commodore Amiga - for a few years already, at the time they were discussing a multimediaproject and somehow Norway and its fjords were selected.
